2 Chronicles 27:6
"So Jotham grew mighty, for he ordered his ways in the sight of the Lord his God."

Slobodan & Ljiljana KrstevskiThis story is about Jotham, the king of Judah. Verse 1 says that he became king when he was twenty-five years old, but he only reigned for sixteen years. Verse 2 says, "He did right in the sight of the Lord, to the extent of all that his father Uzziah had done." We can see here that fathers have quite an impact on their children. Quite often, parents have such an impact on their children that their children grow up to be just like them. In this case, Jotham's father was a good father. So Jotham followed the Lord as his father, Uzziah, did.

Then the Bible says, "He built the Upper Gate of the Lord's house and did much building on the wall of Ophel. Moreover, he built cities in the hill country of Judah, and in the forests he built forts and towers" [verses 3-4]. This leads to verse 5 where it says "Jotham grew mighty, for he ordered his ways in the sight of the Lord his God." Notice the things that Jotham did in order to become mighty. First, he did right in the sight of the Lord. Secondly, he built; he was in construction. That's how he grew strong.

That's how you become strong and mighty. You follow the Lord. When you follow the Lord, He tells you to start building. They say that most North Americans, who are doing well financially, are successful because of real estate. We know that real estate is one of the most important investments in a person's life. It is the most expensive and for most people, it is the greatest investment they can make. Regardless of what happens in the economy, if you're in real estate, that rental income will always come in. So, if you want to become strong and mighty, then follow the Lord and start investing in real estate. Start by buying property for yourself first. Then buy property for others so you can provide rental properties and benefit from that income.

In this story, Jotham grew strong and mighty because he followed the Lord and because he built properties. Becoming mighty doesn't just happen from nothing. It comes through doing what it is required to achieve it. Each and every one of us has a skill that can help us become mighty. Figure out what that skill is and work towards perfecting it. God will bless every effort you put forth. But make sure that whatever you do, you invest in properties. That's what God wants you to do. That's what godly kings did and they became mighty because of it.
