Jeremiah 17:10
"I the Lord search the mind, I try the heart, even to give to every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings."

Slobodan & Ljiljana KrstevskiThrough this Scripture, God says that He will give to every person according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doings. In other words, the way you live your life and your actions will determine what you receive from God.

According to this verse, God searches the mind and the heart of people. Is it your desire to please God? Or is it your desire to please yourself? Your desire could even be to please others. You should never work on pleasing others before God. When you please God, God will bless you and you will be pleased. When you are pleased, you will be able to please others. So make God your first priority.

Then it says that God tries the heart, meaning He tests you. He wants to see if you will still hold on to Him through all difficulties, through all temptations. For example, when you're with your friends and they are doing drugs, God wants to see if you will do drugs as well. When you're in a magazine shop, God wants to see if you are going to look at or buy the wrong magazines. When you're in a video store, God wants to see if you're going to rent the wrong movies. If you do those things, then you are not walking in obedience to the Lord, and therefore, you're not pleasing Him. Not only that, but all of those actions are going to produce some kind of result.

If you don't like the fruit that you are reaping, then change the seeds you've been planting. Don't blame God. Don't blame your spouse, your children, or your parents. Don't blame anybody. Realize that you just need to change your seed. Line up the things you say and what you do to the Word of God. When you do that, you will place yourself on the road to blessing. It is on that road that you will find success and happiness. Success in life doesn't just mean being financially wealthy. Successful people are also happy, healthy, excited about life, and are making a difference in the lives of other people. There is no other way to happiness in Jesus except by trusting and obeying Him.

This verse says that God is going to give to His people according to their ways. So He is going to give them the fruit of their doings. If you want to do wrong then that is your decision, but you will still reap the fruit of that wrongdoing. God doesn't want you to sin, but He can't stop you either. So if you sin, you're going to suffer for it. Ask yourself if you'd rather be happy in life or suffer in life. Decide what you want more. Then do what it takes to receive that result. Plant the seeds that are required for you to reap the positive results that you want in life.

Each one of us is in a circumstance in life because we have planted a specific seed that has led us to where we are. So if you don't like where you are, then change your thinking and change your actions. Plant good seeds, and you will notice that your fruit will be different. You will have a different life; God will ensure it.
