THE END FROM THE BEGINNING

"Declaring the end and the result from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure and purpose, calling a ravenous bird from the east – the man [Cyrus] who executes My counsel from a far country. Yes, I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed it, and I will do it."
It's very interesting to notice what God says in these verses. God declares the end from the beginning; meaning God sees the end result from the very beginning. So when He wants to do something, He looks at the end result of that action before He begins doing that action. He also looks at whether or not the process of getting to that end result is worth it. So if God looks at the end from the beginning, and He instructs in His Word that we ought to be imitators of Him, then we too should look at the end from the beginning. So before you do anything, think about the end result of that action. Every action you do and every word you speak is a seed that will bear a fruit. If you like the fruit that will be produced out of that seed, then plant the seed. If you don't like the fruit, then don't plant the seed.
The second part of this verse is very interesting as well. Verse 10b says, "My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure and purpose." God is going to accomplish His plans. He is going ensure that His purposes will be fulfilled. It also says in verse 11b, "Yes, I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed it, and I will do it." So God will bring about everything that He has spoken.
When you have a purpose and you want to reach that specific result, then it's up to you to do what it takes to get there. God won't study for you. It's up to you to study. God won't choose a career for you. It's up to you to make that decision. God doesn't save your money for you. You have to learn to save it yourself. Once you have set a specific goal, you are required to do what's necessary to reach that goal. God has equipped you with everything that you need to reach your goal.
So as it says in verse 10a, God declares "the end and the result from the beginning…" So think of the results that your actions and your words will bring. Think of the outcome of every decision you make. When you are convinced that the result is good, and you are persuaded that the process to achieve that result is worth it, then start putting forth your effort to achieve that result. Once you do that, you will bring it to pass.
